VIDEO SURVEILLANCE SOLUTION FOR CITIZEN SECURITY IN CLORINDA MUNICIPALITYxeon
Clorinda, head of the Pilcomayo department, is the second largest city in the province of Formosa, Argentina. It is located 115 km from the provincial capital and has 52,837 inhabitants.
The Municipality has decided to acquire a hi-tech citizen security video surveillance system to improve public safety at detection and assistance in emergency situations, via camcorders strategically installed in different areas of the city to improve the efficiency of its operations and for crime prevention.
The municipality of Clorinda has chosen the solution offered by Technology Bureau consisting of an electronic video surveillance system composed of nodes with PTZ dome cameras, which are linked by means of ring fiber optic (FO) lines running along the entire perimeter of the area of interest, through the installation of posts, the provision of Networking equipment and the assembly of an office room with recording and visualization consoles.
In the future these nodes have the ability to connect different value-added systems.
Within the dispatch solution, storage for the protection of information has been considered.
Additionally, the proposed solution incorporates in each node an uninterruptible power supply with autonomy of one hour, as well as to the monitoring center so that to increase security during eventual power outages.
Since its commissioning, the system has satisfactorily met the proposed objectives, increasing security in the locality and resolving situations thanks to stored images.
